Introduction. Some patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) do not respond to treatment or the disease progresses during conservative treatment. It seems relevant to identify significant predictors of BPH progression and transition from conservative to surgical treatment.

Introduction. The thulium laser is relatively recently used in the treatment of various urological diseases. Only a few studies report the use of thulium laser urethrotomy for urethral strictures. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the results of the use of a thulium laser for the treatment of urethral strictures.

Introduction. Penile skin flap and oral mucosal graft are most often used for augmentation urethroplasty for extended anterior urethral strictures. It seems relevant to conduct a study comparing augmentation urethroplasty techniques using these donor materials.

Introduction. We have analyzed the world experience of using buccal graft as a relatively safe and effective method of surgical treatment of extensive ureteral strictures.

The review was conducted on the basis of data published in the PubMed databases, the Elibrary.ru Scientific Electronic Library and on the websites of professional urological associations. At the first stage, 107 sources were found, of which 35 articles were included in the review.
